Misael's POV
Alicia and I's paths crossed at a mutual friend's wedding in Copper Harbor, MI during my second year at Michigan Tech. Our first conversation involved my lack of industry experience and Chemical Engineering's superiority to Biomedical Engineering... not cool.
Once introductions were finalized and we finally had a chance to meet and spend time together during school, I realized that I really enjoyed her presence. Hang out's turned into long car rides into the night and late night study sessions. One thing led to another and I was head over heels for her. We shared lots of common interests and had in depth conversations about all kinds of things, important or not. Safe to say, I love talking to her!
By wedding time, we will have been together for over two years and the majority of the time we've spent together has been long distance. We've added so many miles on our cars, be it from driving to St. Louis, Houghton, or wherever else we've been. We've spent lots of money on plane tickets to Rhode Island along with lots of over night drives just to be able to spend a day together.
I'd say I've been blessed to have such a patient and loving person by my side these past few years and I'm excited to make it a forever thing!
